01·The loneliest winery at the foot of Helan Mountain

Helan winery | landscape design

Location: Yinchuan


The winery is located about 5 kilometers to the east of the southern section of Helan Mountain. From a distance, the building is lonely and small with the mountain as the background. The closed and thick outer wall confronts the mountain, like a contest between man and nature.


The changing climate makes different changes happen here at all times. When the sun rises, the mountains change from earthy red to grayish brown, and after the sun sets, the mountains change from grayish brown to light blue. This original natural landscape is unique and unique. The open wall at the entrance of the wine tasting area is covered with large red wine corks, which show the mellow and thick taste of wine under the halo of light.




02· Viewfinder connected with nature

The design team hopes to create a flexible edge to make the new garden, outdoor terrace and the building itself form a smooth transition in the distant farmland and winery. The focus of architectural design is on the view and the relationship with the landscape. Visitors will be directed to the south immediately after arriving at the winery, and use the building as a "viewfinder" to harvest the beautiful mountain scenery in the distance.




03·Elegant winery on the volcanic islands

Pico is a volcanic island. The perennial sea breeze finally forms a natural landform dominated by rocks. The architect adjusted the plane layout of the winery according to the rugged natural terrain. The changing relationship between the terrain and the horizon was echoed in the ambulatory surrounding the site. The continuous outdoor ramp gradually rose along the boundary wall, integrating the building with the surrounding natural landscape.




04·Dependence on mountains and fields

Location: Fujian


The project is located in Tangtou Township, Dehua County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. The goal is to build the largest wine and brandy brewing base in the south of the Yangtze River. The architectural trend and landscape layout follow the terrain, which is wedge-shaped embedded in the mountains and grows on the ravines, making the project an integral part of the environment. The building facade design is based on the order, proportion and control under the concise and clear function. By controlling the modulus of brick paving and adjusting the proportion of the space frame, the winery has created an introverted and clear temperament.




05·Red wine meets farmland

Location: Melbourne


As the exhibition hall of Levantine Hill wine brand, the project has formed a harmonious relationship with the local wine cellar and restaurant, and provides people with a complete wine experience through the connection of vineyard, activity area, wine tasting and display space. The project pays tribute to the brewing process through the most advanced facilities and fully functional space. The arched structure of the winery is covered with galvanized steel purlins and corrugated iron plates, echoing the undulating farmlands.




06·Build the energy of space with the stone of Helan Mountain

Location: Ningxia


West Pigeon Winery is located in the Pigeon Mountain on the east foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia, where the terrain is flat and boundless. Yellow soil, broken gravel, camel thorn and seabuckthorn constitute the whole landscape here. The pin-shaped beacon tower and the collapsed Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty make the sense of wildness more evidence-based. From the designer's point of view, the stones in Ningxia are like grapes rolled on Helan Mountain. Pick up, collect and gather these scattered "grapes" from the wilderness to form the stone round wall of West Pigeon Winery.




07·Inhabit with nature

The project base is surrounded by the Chianti Mountains, and a large area of vineyard planting base is located in the middle of Florence and Siena. The base with profound cultural background can enhance the perfect integration of architectural landscape and surrounding environment through architectural design, and express the cultural and social value of this wine-producing place.

White Horse, a famous Bordeaux winery in France, is one of the eight major Bordeaux wineries in France. It is located in the legal production area of San Emili in Bordeaux. The new winery building is like a concrete sail that is floating in the air and is about to start from the bright universe. The beautiful curved surface and white concrete stop here quietly, making people meditate and attractive.

The brewery is located in the center of an industrial area in the suburb of the erkezk ö y, and with the help of landscape, changing scales, such as mouth, light, color and materials, the site successfully reflects the original context and brewing technology. The site is designed to use the burnt soil to create an immersive garden, which is conducive to the passive cooling of the plant; The use of skylights, penetrating light penetrating into the interior space, and preferential procurement of local materials are all important aspects of the green design of the project.

11·Revival of Rhone Valley Winery

The terraced mountain overlooking Tain l'Hermitage has been cultivated since ancient Rome. It is one of the best wine producing areas in the Rhone Valley. The stone wall is well integrated into the site. The porous wall with thermal inertia creates ideal conditions for wine storage. The ramp in the winery allows visitors to discover and explore the brewing process of wine, and the wavy wall brings harmless diffuse light to the hall where wine cans and barrels are stored.




12·Creative winery

Location: France


The semi-soil-covered building form and ecological green roof have become the most distinctive features of the winery. The internal space of the building includes a grape processing area with optical sorting equipment, a preliminary brewing room, two wine cellars for apple lactic acid fermentation and wine ripening process, and a mechanical production line for bottling and labeling, achieving the balance between tradition and innovation.
