As Zaha Hadid Architects' first sports and commercial complex in Asia, GO PARK Xisha's design professionalism is first reflected in its deep practice of the "texture landscape" concept and precise response to the site's genes.
Zaha Hadid Architects'first sports and commercial complex in Asia
The project is located between Ma On Shan Country Park and Erzhang Bay in Hong Kong. The massive volume of 1.3 million square feet does not abruptly intervene in nature, but simulates the spatial texture of traditional mountain villages in Hong Kong through "interconnected volume combinations", creating a continuous visual and spatial dialogue between the architectural form and the surrounding terrain.

The core concept of 'Sky Village' further elevates the functional layout into a three-dimensional structure of community life - diverse functions such as shopping, sports, and entertainment are broken down into permeable 'village units'.

Through the interweaving of courtyards, bridges, and natural landscapes, the iconic flowing curve language of Zaha Hadid Architects is preserved, while the openness of "welcoming tourists from all directions" achieves a professional interpretation of the public nature of the community through architecture.

Streamline system integrating spatial narrative and functions
The professionalism of the project is particularly prominent in the streamlined design, with a gradual slope system running through multiple layers forming the "spine" of spatial organization. This main ramp is not simply a transportation carrier, but a design core that combines narrative and systematic elements: it starts from the central main square, penetrates the building volume with a winding upward dynamic trajectory, connects commercial spaces such as cafes and shops with various sports facilities, and ultimately leads to a rooftop garden, bringing panoramic views of distant mountains, bays, and a million square feet sports park into view.

This "vertical+horizontal" composite streamline design not only solves the accessibility problem of large complexes, but also blurs the physical boundaries of indoor and outdoor spaces through the experience sequence of "top-down walking distant view".

When tourists alternate between enclosed venues, semi open courtyards, and outdoor platforms on the slope, they actually complete a gradual transition from "inside the building" to "embracing nature", reflecting the professional precision of "spatial sequence design" in landscape architecture.

Professional balance between functional space and community value
The design of GO PARK Xisha breaks through the single attribute of traditional sports or commercial buildings, and achieves the symbiosis of high-density functionality and community vitality with professional techniques. Its outdoor facilities cover all age sports scenes from adventure playgrounds to golf driving ranges, while its indoor facilities include a 1500 person multi-purpose sports stadium, fencing school, 25 meter swimming pool and other professional venues.

The layout of this "full spectrum facility" is not simply a pile up, but a precise match based on community needs - through the modular structure of the "aerial village", the noisy competitive space is isolated from the quiet leisure area by acoustics and vision, while the bridge system ensures convenient linkage.

What is more noteworthy is that the design embeds commercial facilities (cafes, restaurants) into public activity nodes, naturally integrating sports and leisure activities with daily consumption scenarios, ultimately achieving a seamless integration of "streaming sports facilities+urban life".

△Rich and colorful water activities
This design logic of activating community interaction through architectural space not only echoes the development concept of "community driving force" of Sun Hung Kai Properties, but also proves through professional practice that large-scale complexes can become the core carrier of community identity and quality of life through design innovation.
