01.What is the Ecological Resin Edition

Ecological resin board is made of an amorphous copolymer resin through high-temperature lamination process. It has excellent transparency, flame retardancy, sound insulation, impact resistance, yellowing resistance, deformation resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, lightness, UV function, high surface hardness, and can be shaped arbitrarily.

The raw material of ecological resin board is a type of polyethylene terephthalate (PETG), which is an amorphous copolymer vinegar. PETG board has outstanding toughness and high impact strength, and has a wide processing range, high mechanical strength, excellent flexibility, high transparency, good gloss, easy printing, and environmental advantages.

Ecological resin board includes sandwich resin board, metal mesh resin board, plant resin board, and sandwich resin board. Ecological resin board is a new environmentally friendly decorative material.

There are many application fields: partitions, ceilings, reception desks, tables, movable doors, decorative walls, suspended ceilings, lighting, glass decoration, and so on.

02.Characteristics of Ecological Resin Edition

①.Environmental protection: Obtained LEED certification, 100% recyclable, and non-toxic according to FDA standards (can be used for food);

②.Lightweight: The total amount is half that of glass, making installation safe and convenient, making the design more lightweight and flexible;

③.Safety: Excellent fire rating B1, non-toxic combustion, aromatic odor, no corrosive smoke, and no droplets;

④.Excellent impact strength: 40 times that of ordinary glass and 10 times that of acrylic;

⑤.Strong mechanical performance: can be designed in any shape, with no stress and whitening during cold and hot bending, and a minimum bending radius of 100 times the thickness of the plate (the minimum bending radius of acrylic is 350 times the thickness) without cracks;

⑥.High surface hardness, scratch resistance, scratch resistance, and surface repair treatment;

⑦.Stable chemical performance: excellent chemical resistance, no yellowing, anti-aging, and anti UV function;

⑧.Stable physical performance: high transparency (93%) and glossiness, with a thermal deformation temperature of 85 degrees;

03．Ecological resin version VS acrylic board

The most crucial aspect of ecological resin board is the word 'resin'. Resin adhesive was used in the production process of the ecological board. In summary, it refers to a board made by impregnating paper with a color and texture with adhesive, allowing it to dry and solidify for a period of time, and then pressing it with various hard fiberboards as the core.

Acrylic board is a PMMA produced by MMA through polymerization reaction, commonly known as polymethyl methacrylate methyl ester. It adopts pouring process, and the tolerance of domestic acrylic board is relatively large. Therefore, if a sandwich design is used, the thickness must be above 8MM, and the board is prone to deformation.

04.Ecological resin version construction technology

The construction process of ecological resin board is roughly as follows:

①、 Hanger installation

The hanging parts are fixed on the back of the resin board according to the hole position, adjustable hanging parts are installed in the top row, and fixed hanging parts are installed in other parts.

②、Foot board installation

The skirting board is installed after the horizontal keel is installed. The skirting board is also a processed resin board, and the flatness and elevation of its upper edge are controlled according to requirements. Fix directly on the vertical keel with self tapping screws.

③、Resin board installation

Before the customized installation of the resin board, the adjustment screw on the adjustable pendant is in the state of being screwed out. After inserting the resin board onto the wall, place it in place according to its position, and use a special feeler gauge to control the gap width at the joint. Then tighten the adjustment screw to ensure that the adjustable hanging wire surface is tightly pressed against the top of the horizontal keel.

How to maintain the ecological resin board in the later stage?

①  .Use a dust pusher or vacuum cleaner to clean the surface of the resin board;

②  .Dilute the resin board wax with warm water as a special wax remover;

③  .Use specialized cleaning machinery in conjunction with corresponding models of cleaning grinding discs for bottom speed grinding and cleaning;

④  .Suck up the sewage on the resin board, clean the resin board with clean water, and then dry the sewage again;

⑤  .After the resin board is dry, evenly apply the resin board special wax with a special wax mop;

⑥  .For places with high traffic, it is recommended to apply at least two coats of wax. After the previous coat of wax is fully dried and exploded, apply the second coat. After the resin board is waxed, it should be fully dried and exploded before use. Do not step on the resin board before air drying;

⑦.Resin sheets can be waxed and maintained regularly according to different occasions.

Alchemy Retail Store

Location: Toronto/Design: Studio Paolo Ferrari

This interesting space features a mirrored stainless steel ceiling, carpet floor, undulating walls made of orange ecological resin, and a backlit product display stand, just like a museum. Next to the surface of the colored saturated ecological resin is a neutral gypsum wall, used to showcase the packaging of AIchemy brand products.

Ann and Robert H. Lurie Chicago Children's Hospital

Location: Chicago/Design: Mikyoung Kim Design

This garden is located inside a glass greenhouse, defined by a series of interactive elements of light, colorful resin walls, and sounds from locally recycled wood elements. The Crown Sky Garden includes a large amount of recycled and renewable materials.

The Wall of Light is made of resin board, and these boards contain at least 40% recycled material. The wooden benches and flooring in the treehouse are locally recycled materials, utilizing natural and non-toxic finished products. Terrazzo flooring utilizes recycled glass aggregates.

The Holy Land of Self Exhibition in the Spa

Location: Selfie Room/Design: Cheungvogl

The spa area continues the simplicity of Au Pont Rouge through the use of translucent glass, white resin, and metal mesh ceilings. The fixed and sliding semi transparent panels distinguish the open urban landscape of the Moika River from the private historical buildings in the middle.
